Manchester United turned their attention towards signing Dubravka as their new number 2 after Kevin Trapp decided against leaving Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
The Premier League giants have offered to sign the Newcastle goalkeeper on loan for the season.
A similar deal was broached in January as well but the Newcastle man was not keen on joining Manchester United then.
But it has been claimed that the scenario is different and the Slovakian wants the move to Old Trafford.
His representatives will hold face-to-face talks with Newcastle this week to discuss the potential deal.
Manchester United are not expecting to face any issues with regards to personal terms if they can agree on a deal with Newcastle.
Dubravka missed Newcastle’s EFL Cup win over Tranmere Rovers on Wednesday night due to an illness.
He is hopeful that a deal will be agreed for him to move to Manchester United on loan before the window closes in a week’s time.
