Paqueta was acquired from Lyon in the summer and he has impressed the West Ham fanbase with the trickery and skill he has shown in his time so far at the London Stadium.
The Brazilian star has played in every game for West Ham since coming to London and has got in two assists so far.
Klopp stressed that West Ham deserve respect and the quality of players the Hammers have brought in the summer have improved them.
The Liverpool boss singled out Paqeuta as a great addition while his fellow German, Thilo Kehrer, also merited a mention from Klopp.
“We respect them a lot”, Klopp said in a press conference ahead of the match in midweek.
“They caused us a lot of problems here and there.
“They brought in new players and really quality players.
“They have options to change.
“Paqueta, great player.
“Kehrer I know from Germany, top class defender.
“It makes it even more difficult for us.”
West Ham managed to beat Liverpool in what was their eleventh game of the Premier League last season and they will be looking to repeat the trick this term.
