Jesse Marsch’s side extended their winless streak to six matches with their 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at Elland Road on Sunday, and Leeds are sitting in 15th place in the league table, one point clear of the relegation zone.

Next Thursday, Marsch will take his side to lock horns with Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City, who are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table with one win in ten matches.

Dorigo is of the view that Leeds have performed very well against their previous two opponents, Arsenal and Crystal Palace, but failed to get anything out of the game.

And the ex-Leeds star believes that the Yorkshire outfit needs to use their Thursday night’s game against Leicester City to dispel their reputation as being a plucky loser.

The Whites legend believes that Leeds have done almost everything right, without getting points out of their recent games, and is confident that Marsch’s side have more than enough quality in their squad to win games in the Premier League.

“What will be really important now is that we take those feelings of deflation, anger and everything else, and turn it into real determination and three points at Leicester City”, Dorigo wrote in his Yorkshire Evening Post column.

“The plucky loser thing cannot become our reputation, it must be put to bed quickly.

“For 45 minutes against Crystal Palace we were superb and got nothing, and it was the same against Arsenal.

“That simply cannot continue.

“Leeds have more than enough to win football matches because they have it in the tank to defend and go forward to create chances, so they’re doing lots of the right things, albeit without getting points.”

Leeds have won only one game against Leicester in their last five meetings and the most recent meeting between the two teams resulted in a 1-0 victory for Rodgers’ team.
