Moffi grabbed his 12th goal of the Ligue 1 season on Saturday in his side’s defeat at the hands of Marseille.

Nice have made two offers for him and are keen to snap him up, but Lorient would rather not sell to Ligue 1 rivals in the shape of the south coast outfit.

Southampton are also keen on Moffi, but it is West Ham who have hit the accelerator.

Lorient are looking for €30m for Moffi and, according to French journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter, West Ham have put in a bid which is close to it.

The Hammers’ proposal has not hit the €30m mark, but it is close.

All eyes will be on how Lorient respond to the offer from David Moyes’ side and whether Southampton also go in with a similar bid.

West Ham are deep in trouble in the Premier League and facing a battle to keep their heads above water this season.
