The negotiations to take Postecoglou to north London picked up pace following Celtic’s Scottish Cup win on Saturday.

The Australian joined a short and elite list of Celtic managers to win the domestic treble but the win against Inverness at Hampden Park was his last game as Bhoys boss.

Daniel Levy wasted little time in getting the deal over the line after feeling impressed following talks with Postecoglou.

The 57-year-old has now officially signed on to become the new Tottenham boss and has put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The north London club are expected to make an announcement of his appointment later today.

He is joining Tottenham following two hugely successful seasons as Celtic manager where he made a name for himself by playing an attacking brand of football.

The Celtic fans took to Postecoglou and he became one of the most popular managers in the club’s history.

However, he has now taken up the challenge of re-energising a Tottenham side that finished eighth in the Premier League this season.
