Roma’s initial approach of a loan with an option to buy was rejected by West Ham earlier in the transfer window.

The Giallorossi were waiting patiently for West Ham to soften their stance on the striker with the knowledge that the player wants to join them.

But that changed on Monday when Inter came in with an offer of €25m for the striker and Scamacca is prepared to move to the Nerazzurri.

West Ham rejected that offer but that has forced Roma to respond and according to Italian outlet SiamolaRoma.it, they have tabled a fresh bid.

It has been claimed that Roma have again proposed a loan deal but it will contain an obligation to buy.

However, the obligation to buy will only be triggered if Scamacca hits certain targets and Roma qualify for the Champions League.

Inter’s offer was cleaner as it was an outright deal and the Nerazzurri are expected to table an improved bid.

It has also been claimed that there is another club in the race for Scamacca with Atalanta now showing an interest in him.

With Rasmus Hojlund set to join Manchester United, the Bergamo outfit have the funds to sign the West Ham forward.
