The defender has been expected to be a key man for Leeds at the back during the upcoming Championship campaign.

His future at Elland Road though is now in doubt, with Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah, where former Leeds hitman Robbie Fowler is in charge, keen to sign him.

Fowler has already tempted former Wigan Athletic and Sunderland man Max Power to Saudi Arabia and now he wants Cooper.

A move to Saudi Arabia would be a lucrative affair for Cooper, who is inside the final year of his deal at Elland Road and will turn 32 later this month.

However, Cooper has given no indication to Leeds that he is looking to leave the club and the Whites have not received a bid.

Leeds would also be reluctant to sell Cooper, given his importance to the side.

Moving to Saudi Arabia though could hand Cooper life changing money and all eyes will be on whether the Leeds skipper does want the switch.
