Everton have had an agreement in place with Sporting Lisbon for a while for the potential signature of the 19-year-old forward.

The Toffees have agreed to pay a fee of €15m and another €5m in add-ons based on his performances at Goodison Park.

Everton have had to work hard to work out personal terms on a contract with him and the forward was expected to undergo a medical on Monday.

The Toffees have had to deal with more delays in their pursuit of Chermiti but it has been claimed that the medical will finally take place today.

The attacker will be put through his paces and Everton will look to rush through all the paperwork needed to get the deal done as soon as possible.

Chermiti will need to be registered by Thursday if he has to be available for Everton’s first game against Fulham on Saturday.

The Toffees are pushing to get everything done and sorted for Chermiti to join the club and be available at Goodison Park this weekend.
