Coutinho joined the Midlands outfit from Barcelona permanently last summer following a loan stint at Villa Park during the 2021/22 season.

However, after the arrival of Unai Emery last season, the 31-year-old played a sporadic role for the Villans.

Coutinho has been heavily linked with an exit from Aston Villa, but he did play in their season opener at Newcastle United.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq have shown interest in the Brazilian, but it was suggested that moving to the Middle East was not something Coutinho is keen on.

Antero Henrique, sporting director of the Qatar Star League, has also prioritised bringing Coutinho this summer.

Now in a boost to clubs in the region, Coutinho is opening up to a Middle East move, according to French outlet Sports Zone.

The Aston Villa star now looks prepared to consider the possibility of moving to the Middle East.

Heading to the region would surely be a lucrative affair for Coutinho.
