It is said that Acuna has agreed a verbal deal with Villa and is keen to join Emery’s side.
According to Spanish outlet Relevo, Aston Villa are in an advanced stage of negotiations with Sevilla for Acuna.
Sevilla have identified Acuna’s replacement in the ongoing window, as they are in talks with Stuttgart for Borna Sosa.
The Spanish outfit acquired the 31-year-old left-back from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2020 and Emery will want to see him quickly adapt to the Premier League.
