With Dean Henderson closing in on a move to Crystal Palace, Manchester United are lining up his replacement.

Erik ten Hag has been insistent on getting a second-choice goalkeeper this summer and Bayindir has emerged as the club’s top target.

Manchester United carried out an extensive medical check on him last week to assess his fitness due to a back injury he suffered last season.

And according to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, Bayindir is now currently at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, preparing to fly into England.

He is set to arrive in the north west of England later today where he is scheduled to undergo a medical at Manchester United.

Once everything is cleared following the medical, Bayindir will sign a long-term contract with the Old Trafford outfit.

He is expected to be the understudy to Andre Onana in the Manchester United squad going forward.

The 25-year-old is a full Turkey international and has earned five caps for his country.
