The Premier League giants have been forced into the market for a left-back following the injury to Luke Shaw, who will be out until November.

Manchester United have been looking at several options and have been in contact with a number of players and their representatives.

Marc Cucurella, Sergio Reguilon and Marcos Alonso are on their shortlist of targets but they have spread their net far and wide for a new left-back.

According to Italian journalist Paolo Rocchetti, their interest in Roma full-back Spinazzola is very much real.

It has been claimed that the Red Devils are holding talks with the player’s camp over a switch to Old Trafford.

Manchester United are giving the possibility of the signing the 30-year-old full-back real consideration.

However, thus far, they are yet to put in an official bid with Roma for the defender’s signature.

He is also in the final year of his contract and Roma would prefer to sell him rather than loaning him, which is Manchester United’s preference.
