Steve Cooper is looking to bring in further firepower before the transfer window closes and Forest could lose Brennan Johnson, who is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.

Now Nottingham Forest are talking to Fenerbahce about Batshuayi, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The negotiations are advanced and Batshuayi is keen to make the switch to the City Ground; he would cost €10m.

Batshuayi is an experienced Premier League performer and has played for Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

The striker has been playing his football in Turkey since 2021, first on a loan spell at Besiktas and latterly at Fenerbahce.

He has already been amongst the goals for Fenerbahce this term, scoring twice in the Europa Conference League qualifiers.

With the clock ticking on the transfer window, Nottingham Forest face a battle against time to complete the capture of the Belgian attacker.
