Lloris is not in the plans of Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou and the London side tried to offload the shot-stopper this summer.

However, Lloris could not find a new club in the recently concluded transfer window and stayed with Postecoglou’s side.

During the last transfer window, Nice were mooted to be keen on bringing Lloris in.

However, Ghisolfi has rejected the claims as rumours, insisting it was not feasible to play Lloris as number two at Nice.

Not closing the door on a future move, he stressed that Lloris is French and the goalkeeper loves Nice, which can be a driving force to fit the shot-stopper at the Ligue 1 outfit.

I told Lloris at the end of last season that we chose [Marcin] Bulka”, Ghisolfi told French daily the Nice-Matin.

We never imagined, sportingly and financially, the possibility of Hugo coming as number 2 at Nice.

“But he is a native of the country and he loves the club.

It is a project that can suit him at the right time.

“We have him in the back of our mind.

With Ghisolfi outlining that Nice have Lloris in the back of their mind, it remains to be seen whether the French club will be able to bring in their former star next summer.
