Paul Pogba has been provisionally suspended for failing a drug test and he is now awaiting the results of a secondary test.

Juventus are waiting for the situation around the midfielder to be clarified but the club are already looking at options to replace the Frenchman.

The Serie A giants are looking at several midfield profiles across Europe ahead of the winter transfer window.

And according to Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoJuve), the Bianconeri have their eyes on Hojbjerg as an option.

The midfielder is no longer a starter at Tottenham and has featured in just 79 minutes in six Premier League games under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Fulham wanted him in the summer but the Dane wanted to join a club in the Champions League.

Atletico Madrid were interested but they never made an offer that could satisfy Tottenham’s demands.

Juventus are now closely looking at the possibility of signing the Spurs midfielder in the winter transfer window.

Given his lack of regular game time, Hojbjerg is likely to agitate for a move when the window opens in January.
