Tottenham were prepared to sell the midfielder in the summer and Fulham showed interest in getting their hands on him.

However, Hojbjerg was not keen on a move to Fulham as he believed he was good enough to play for one of the top clubs in Europe and wanted to join Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder has been a bit part player under Ange Postecoglou and is expected to try and leave Tottenham in the January transfer window.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, his agent is already at work to find a new club for him.

It has been claimed that his agent has been touching base with several clubs across Europe to gauge interest in Hojbjerg.

He is set to travel and meet officials of several clubs over the coming months to understand the parameters of a potential transfer.

Juventus are amongst the sides the midfielder’s agent is scheduled to meet in the coming months.

Tottenham want to sell him and want a fee of around €30m before agreeing to let him go in January.
