Leeds seem to have shaken off their early season problems and have won three of their last five games in the Championship.

They have put together a run of four clean sheets on the trot and have climbed up to sixth in the league table.

Leeds hammered Watford 3-0 at Elland Road, which was also their first win at home in the Championship this season.

Bridges believes that the level of their performance and the manner of their win means that the rest of the Championship are now aware of Leeds’ strength in the ongoing campaign.

He feels the stability of the team at the end of the transfer window and the competition for places in the squad are a real positive for the Whites at the moment.

The former White said on the Official Leeds United Podcast: “That result and that game sent a message to the rest of the league.

“They will really recognise that Leeds have arrived.

“The stability of the window shutting as well, having seen the squad we have, the competition for places is obscene.”

Leeds will take on an out-of-form Southampton side at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.
