The 24-year-old joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan on summer transfer deadline day from Leeds United.

Since joining the Cherries, Sinisterra has only featured once in a 0-0 draw against Chelsea, where he came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute.

Iraola admitted that he would have liked to give the Leeds loanee an opportunity in the EFL Cup against Stoke City on Wednesday, but due to the player being cup-tied, they could not.

The Bournemouth boss stated that they are aware of the qualities Sinisterra possesses and added that he is hoping to see more from him soon.

“In terms of Luis, it would have been good to give him some minutes against Stoke, but of course we couldn’t”, Iraola told Bournemouth’s official site.

“He had good minutes against Chelsea and we know that his quality is there, so hopefully we can see more of it soon.”

Leeds were hoping to be able to keep hold of Sinisterra this summer, but the winger was determined to seek a move to avoid playing in the Championship.

It remains to be seen if he will return to Elland Road next summer.
