Orta took Gracia to Elland Road last season and was then left unhappy when the club sacked him, defending his countryman until the last minute.

The director of football fell on his sword shortly afterwards and has since rebounded as the sporting director at La Liga giants Sevilla.

Now on the lookout for a new coach to take charge at Sevilla, Gracia has been heavily linked with the club and Orta remains a big admirer of his abilities.

However, according to Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo, the former Leeds boss will not take over at Sevilla.

Gracia will also not take charge of any side in the short term, despite his agent holding talks with the Rojiblancos.

The former Whites boss appears to be unavailable to return to management at present and Sevilla will have to look elsewhere.

Sevilla have had a poor start to the season and sit just 14th in La Liga, with eight points from eight games; they have won just twice.
