Last season, Leeds experienced a disastrous campaign that saw a series of managerial changes and ended with relegation from the Premier League.

This summer, Leeds saw an ownership change and appointed former Norwich City boss Farke to improve them on the pitch.

Roberts thinks that Leeds are a club that have been run very poorly in recent years and believes that Farke is the right man to change their on-pitch performance.

The former top-flight star also stated that Farke wants to have full control over the club like Marcelo Bielsa had in the past and pointed out that running a club from top to bottom is one of his strengths.

“He is now at a good club, a sleeping giant”, Roberts wrote in his Pinkun column.

“Leeds can be a little bit of a strange club in the way it has been run, although that seems to have calmed down a bit, and if one man can turn things around on the pitch it is Daniel Farke.

“Marcelo Bielsa went there and did superbly well.

“He was left to run the whole football club and I’m sure that’s what Daniel will like to do as well, from top to bottom, that’s what he is good at, that’s what his strengths are.”

Farke returned to his former stomping ground on Saturday and guided Leeds to a come from behind 3-2 win over Norwich City.
