The defender triggered a clause in his Leeds contract to complete a loan escape from Elland Road last summer following relegation into the Championship.

Koch was not short of options and eventually settled on heading back to Germany to join Eintracht Frankfurt, a move also designed to boost his national team chances.

With his Leeds deal running out next summer, Koch could stay at Eintracht Frankfurt permanently and he admits he could see himself doing so, not least because he feels he is in perfect hands.

“I can very well imagine that [staying]”, Koch told German magazine Kicker (via Fussball Transfers).

“I feel like I’m in perfect hands at Eintracht at the moment and I want to achieve a lot here.”

Clubs outside England will be free to hold contract talks with Koch from the new year and Eintracht Frankfurt are expected to want to keep him.

Whether Leeds have completely given up on Koch or will touch base to see if a contract extension is possible remains to be seen.
