Lundstram has continued to remain a regular in the Rangers team but has been dividing opinion since last season.

His performances have dropped off since being an important part of the Rangers team that made it to the final of the Europa League in 2022.

The midfielder was solid in Rangers’ 5-0 win at Dundee on Wednesday night and many believe it could be a turning point in his career in Scotland.

Wilson conceded that the Englishman’s drop-off last season was stark given his earlier performances.

He admitted that he is one Rangers player who will need Clement to help him rebuild his reputation amongst the Gers fans.

Wilson said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “Lundstram is a character that probably divides Rangers fans.

“From having such a good season in the tail end of that European campaign a few seasons ago to completely off the boil last year.

“He has to rebuild his career under Clement and last night’s performance will do no harm.”

Lundstram has already featured 117 times for Rangers and will hope to rediscover himself under the new manager.
