Summerville has been a big player for Leeds this season in the Championship, scoring six times and registering four assists in eleven appearances.

He was again in form against Huddersfield last weekend, scoring twice and laying on two assists in a 4-1 win for Leeds at Elland Road.

Gnonto is one of the Dutchman’s closest friends in the Whites squad and the Italian admitted that his team-mate’s form on the pitch has not surprised him at all.

He believes Summerville is in a good place both mentally and physically and feels he has the talent and the potential to play even better than he has been doing this season.

Gnonto said on LUTV when asked about Summerville: “He is a great player and a great talent but I am not really surprised.

“I feel he can do more than this; he has the quality to do it and a good mindset.

“He is good both mentally and physically now and I just want him to keep going now.

“If I can help him, I am happy to do it.”

The Dutchman may be almost certain to start when Leeds take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tonight.
