Leeds are undefeated at Elland Road this season and they are currently sitting in third place in the Championship table.

The Yorkshire outfit are set to welcome Steven Schumacher’s Plymouth Argyle this weekend before they go into the international break.

Whittaker, who has been a key player for Plymouth this season, revealed that Elland Road is a stadium he always wanted to play at and hailed Leeds’ home ground for its amazing atmosphere.

The Argyle star is of the opinion that the Leeds squad are of Premier League quality, but he warns that Plymouth have shown that they can compete against top teams in the division.

“Ever since I was at Derby and they played in the play-off semi-final against Leeds, it’s always been a stadium that I really wanted to play at”, Whittaker was quoted as saying by Plymouth Live.

“The atmosphere there is really good so I want to experience it first hand.

“I think if you look at their team it is a Premier League side but we have shown we can compete with the best in this league.

“Starting the game well is key on Saturday.”

Leeds are unbeaten in their last six games against Plymouth and it remains to be seen whether they can extend the record at the weekend.
