The Magpies are currently sitting seventh in the Premier League with 26 points and they are seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

 

Multiple injuries in different positions alongside the ban of Sandro Tonali have plagued the Magpies with the unavailability of important first-team players.

 

 

 

Eddie Howe’s side have conceded seven goals in their last two league matches and they were able to score only once in return.

 

Keys admitted that he is worried about them and stressed that the Magpies are nowhere near as good as they were last season, when they finished in the top four.

 

 

“Spurs were good. Well – to be specific – Son was very good”, Keys wrote in his blog about the Newcastle vs Tottenham Hotspur match.

 

“Newcastle couldn’t handle him.

 

 

“Should we be worried about them? They look a shadow of the team that finished in the top four last season.

 

“All the same – I wish them luck in Europe this week.”

 

Newcastle will be playing Italian giants AC Milan on Wednesday night in the Champions League in a must-win fixture at St. James’ Park.
