The Red Devils crashed out of Europe on Tuesday night when their 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich meant that they finished bottom of their Champions League group.

They have also lost seven of their 16 Premier League fixtures and are also out of the EFL Cup this season.

Only three teams in Europe’s top five major leagues have lost more games than Manchester United’s 12 in all competitions this term.

But it has been claimed that Ten Hag’s job as manager of Manchester United seems secure at the moment.

The Old Trafford outfit have not sent out any feelers to suggest that they are looking for a new manager.

With a new football management set to come in under the leadership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, there is no appetite to sack the Dutchman by the current regime.

There are suggestions that for the moment football director John Murtough does not have the remit to get rid of Ten Hag

The Manchester United manager’s position is likely to come under sharp focus once Ratcliffe’s people take charge of the football department.
