Fixture: Newcastle United vs Nottingham Forest
Competition: Premier League
Kick-off: 12:30 UK time

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has selected his starting eleven and substitutes to play host to Nottingham Forest at St James’ Park this afternoon.

Forest arrive on Tyneside with a new manager at the helm in the shape of former Wolves boss Nuno and he will be looking to make his side more solid defensively.

However, Nottingham Forest will encounter a Newcastle team who went down to a shock defeat at Luton Town last time out and will be desperate to bounce back.

The Magpies have already lost seven games in the Premier League so far this season, two more defeats than they suffered over the whole of last season.

Martin Dubravka is in goal for Newcastle on Boxing Day, while at the back Howe has Kieran Trippier, Sven Botman, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn.

In midfield, Newcastle go with Bruno Guimaraes, Sean Longstaff and Lewis Miley, while Miguel Almiron and Anthony Gordon support Alexander Isak.

Howe has options he can call for if he needs to influence the game from the bench and they include Joelinton and Emil Krafth.
