Former Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to reunite with ex-Gers star Ryan Kent at Besiktas.

Van Bronckhorst is set to take over at Besiktas, his first job in management since being sacked by Rangers last year to make way for Michael Beale.

The Dutchman is already plotting how to reshape Besiktas over the course of this month’s transfer window.

And, according to Turkish daily Star, Van Bronckhorst wants to sign former Rangers winger Kent.

Kent left Rangers last summer following the expiration of his contract at Ibrox and headed to Turkey to sign for Fenerbahce.

The winger has struggled to make an impact at Fenerbahce though and the club are considering offloading him this month.

Moving to Besiktas could appeal to Kent as it would link him up with Van Bronckhorst.

However, if the winger has his heart set on leaving Turkish football following an unhappy spell then he may prefer a move elsewhere, with there expected to be no shortage of interest in his services.

Leeds United and Hull City have already been linked with Kent.
