Harry Kane is pushing Bayern Munich to sign Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur, according to talkSPORT.

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel wants to beef up his defensive options and has been clear with the club about the need to act quickly in this month’s transfer window.

Dier has a verbal agreement in principle to join Bayern Munich, but the German giants have yet to contact Tottenham directly.

They have other options they are looking at and want to make sure the right man arrives at the Allianz Arena.

However, Dier has a powerful advocate at Bayern Munich as Kane is pushing the club to sign his former team-mate.

Kane rates Dier and believes he could do a good job for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

The defender would also be a cost-effective option for Bayern Munich due to his contractual situation in north London.

Dier will be out of contract at Tottenham in the summer and if he does not leave the club this month is expected to do so then.
