Leeds United will pay compensation to Aberdeen for the services of Dons head of recruitment Jordan Miles and also must wait until after the January transfer window to land him, according Football Scotland.

The Whites want to bring Miles south of the border to mastermind their recruitment plans and they will get their man.

The Championship side though ideally wanted Miles to be in place for this month’s transfer window, but saw those hopes dashed.

Miles will remain at Aberdeen throughout the crucial January transfer window, something which avoids putting the Dons in a pickle.

Leeds will have to wait until after January to get their man and will also have to pay Aberdeen a compensation fee for his services.

Miles only linked up with Aberdeen in the summer after he joined the club from West Ham United.

Leeds now want Miles to spearhead their business in the next summer transfer window when, they hope, they will be preparing for life back in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s side are putting in a strong bid to grab one of the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.

And Miles, who will arrive in February, will hope they continue to stay in the promotion hunt.
