Lecce are keen on Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke, but doing a deal is tipped not to be easy for the Italian side.

The Swedish defender made the switch to Celtic in the last summer transfer window, however he has struggled to impress in Glasgow.

It has been speculated that Celtic could offload Lagerbielke in this month’s window and he has interest from Italy.

Lecce are keen on securing the services of the centre-back, but according to Sky Italia, the deal will be a tough one to do.

It is suggested that the cost of a deal to sign Lagerbielke makes it a tough one for Lecce to do.

If the Serie A side do land the Swede, it would likely be in the form of a simple loan agreement.

This season so far, Lagerbielke has made nine appearances for Celtic across all competitions, being sent off once.

The 23-year-old defender put pen to paper to a contract running until 2028 when he signed for Celtic last summer.
