Blackburn Rovers want a premium fee for Tottenham Hotspur target Adam Wharton amidst interest from several other clubs, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

A product of the Blackburn academy, the 19-year-old midfielder has been one of the first names on the Jon Dahl Tomasson’s team-sheet this season.

Despite his tender years, the teenager has produced mature performances in the middle of the park for Blackburn and has piqued the interest of clubs in the Premier League.

Tottenham are amongst the clubs who are keeping tabs on Wharton and there are suggestions that Blackburn want as much as £15m for him.

But it has been claimed that the Championship side are expected to demand a lot more before agreeing to sell the teenager.

Blackburn are aware of the interest the young midfielder has been attracting and will likely want a real auction.

Tottenham have their eyes on him but several other clubs are interested in Wharton.

It remains to be seen whether any club make an offer to land the player in the winter transfer window.
