Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell is set to join up with Philippe Clement’s squad today after his absence from the Gers’ warm weather training camp, according to journalist Derek Clark.

The 26-year-old midfielder signed for Rangers on a free transfer after spending three seasons with Norwich City.

Dowell failed to make an immediate impact on the team upon his arrival at Ibrox, but forced himself into Clement’s plans in December.

He has started three of the last four league games for Rangers and turned some heads with his performances.

During the ongoing winter break, Rangers have gone to Spain’s La Manga for warm-weather training and preparations for the second half of the season.

However, the 26-year-old midfielder did not travel with the Rangers squad to take part in the training camp.

His absence raised questions and now it has been claimed that Dowell will be joining the Rangers squad today, with the player due to fly to Spain.

And it has also been suggested that the 26-year-old missed the warm-weather training camp due to personal reasons.

Dowell will be looking to further impress Clement during the training camp in Spain as he prepares for the second half of the season.
