Newcastle United and Crystal Palace target Kalvin Phillips is not a priority for Tottenham Hotspur at this stage of the transfer window, according to Newcastle World.

Phillips wants to leave Manchester City in January to play more football as he is wary of losing his place in the England squad ahead of next summer’s European Championship.

However, a move has stalled due to Manchester City’s demands for a big loan fee and an obligatory purchase clause as part of the agreement.

Newcastle have called off their interest in him and will only revisit it if Manchester City lower their demands.

He has been linked with a move to Tottenham as well, but Spurs are not looking at Phillips as a priority target.

The north London club are looking at bringing in a midfielder after signing defender Radu Dragusin this month.

However, Phillips is not the profile of midfielder Tottenham are looking for at the moment.

Crystal Palace are considering signing him and are expected to firm up their interest in the England midfielder this week.
