Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is definitely someone who could manage the Bavarians in the future.

Klopp stunned the football world on Friday when it was confirmed he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season despite having a contract until 2026.

He insists that he will be taking the next year off before deciding what he wants to do as he is running out of energy.

Klopp has regularly been linked with Bayern Munich and Neuer admits he can well imagine the 56-year-old at the club.

“I think it depends on him”, Neuer was quoted as saying by German outlet Fussball Transfers.

“I don’t think FC Bayern have anything against it because he is a renowned, very good, experienced, tactically astute coach who has gained great respect from all footballers and athletes, and I believe that he is definitely a potential candidate who could later work for Bayern Munich.”

Neuer admits if Klopp wants to take a break that may change things and feels that the manager’s future is entirely in his own hands as he could go down the national team boss route.

“Whether he wants to do that is of course his business, or whether he says he wants to take a break first.

“Maybe no longer in the day to day business. I can imagine him possibly being the national coach one day.

“Of course, it depends primarily on himself.”

Klopp is currently in the process of building a house in the German city of Wiesbaden, near Mainz.
