Italian top flight side Hellas Verona have put in an offer for Norwich City attacker Adam Idah, but face needing to improve it, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Verona are alive to talents on the British Isles and recently cashed in on Scottish left-back Josh Doig after he had a successful spell at the club.

They would like to sign another striker before the window closes and have had their eyes drawn to Carrow Road for a solution.

Young Norwich attacker Idah is the player that Verona want and they have been in touch with the Canaries.

The Serie A side want Idah on loan until the end of the season with an option to then buy him if he impresses.

Those terms are unlikely to be acceptable for Norwich in this month’s window.

The Canaries could agree to do business, but would want a permanent sale, rather than a loan.

The price would also need to be right.

Whether Verona are willing to play ball on those terms remains to be seen and the clock is ticking.
