Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell has issued a message to Rangers loanee Adam Devine, telling him that the stint with the Steelmen will be his chance to prove himself at the top level.

On the final day of the January transfer window, Devine made a move, joining Rangers’ fellow Scottish Premiership side Motherwell on loan for the rest of the season.

The move is the academy graduate’s third spell away from his parent club since being promoted to senior level back in 2021.

The Motherwell manager, who will be in charge of overseeing Devine’s progress for the time being, believes that the full-back is one with great promise.

Devine, Kettlewell believes, will bring energy and enthusiasm to the Motherwell team and in the process give himself the best possible chance to show his worth at the top level.

“Adam is a promising, young talent”, Kettlewell told his club’s official website.

“He has made appearances at first-team level for Rangers and has been a regular in the matchday squads, which I think shows he is highly thought of by Rangers.

“I hope he brings energy and enthusiasm.

“This is a chance for him to prove himself at this level and I look forward to working with him.”

Devine will still have a year left on his Rangers contract once he returns to his parent club following the conclusion of his spell at Motherwell.
