Former Leeds United star Aidy White has conceded that the Whites’ lack of efficiency in front of goal could cost them in a vital game when they are not at their best in terms of performance levels.

Leeds ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Rotherham United at Elland Road on Saturday in a Yorkshire derby.

They could have scored even more goals but only six of their 19 attempts were on target as Leeds were again wasteful in the final third.

White admitted that for now, it is a nice problem to have as Leeds are winning games comfortably without being completely clinical and efficient in front of goal.

However, he warned that Leeds are not going to play as well in every game and eventually in a vital fixture their lack of cutting edge in front of the goal could cost them points.

White said on BBC Radio Leeds: “It’s a nice problem to have.

“You are comfortably winning games but we could be so much more efficient and clinical in the final third.

“That’s the only point we need to get better at to continue to get these performances.

“One day, we are going to have a game where we are not quite at it and if we are not clinical, we won’t get the result, but they are the ones you need when you grind out results.”

Leeds have won their last six Championship games and will take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
