Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has admitted that he cannot easily get into duels with defenders in England due to his small stature
The 22-year-old ranks fifth in the list of Championship’s best dribblers this season and has gone past players on more than 65 occasions.
Describing his strengths as a player coming from a different league, Summerville insisted that he can operate in small spaces and can give defenders a hard time given his speed, agility and explosiveness.
However, given his short stature and lack of physicality, Summerville insists that he cannot easily get into duels with defenders and that is something they like while playing against the winger.
“The intensity is really high, and if you look at English defenders, the physical part is also of a high level”, Summerville told Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur.
“Of course, I’m not one of the biggest.
“What I bring with me is that I’m very good in small spaces, and defenders have a very hard time because of my speed, agility, and explosiveness.
“But I can’t easily get into duels with them, something they do like.”
Summerville is also at the top end of yet another list, which is as one of the highest goalscorers in the division.
He sits fourth with 15 goals, with eight assists to go along with them.
