Jon Newsome believes Crysencio Summerville should have scored in Leeds United’s win over Plymouth Argyle.

Daniel Farke’s men saw their good form in the Championship continue on Saturday lunchtime when they ran out 2-0 winners at Home Park.

Willy Gnonto and Georginio Rutter got on the scoresheet for Leeds, with goals in either half proving too much for Plymouth to cope with.

Summerville, who has been in fine form for Leeds of late, drew a blank and was replaced in the 83rd minute.

And former Leeds defender Newsome was left with the feeling that the Dutchman should really have scored.

Newsome said on BBC Radio Leeds: “Crysencio Summerville should really have added to his tally today.

“Had some really good chances.”

Summerville will hope to be more clinical in Leeds’ next game which is a big clash against top of the table Leicester City at Elland Road.

That is followed by a visit to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in the FA Cup.
