Italian agent Claudio Vigorelli admits he regrets a parting of the ways with Leeds United attacker Willy Gnonto.

Vigorelli has guided Gnonto’s career in recent times and the winger was keen on leaving Leeds following their relegation from the Premier League last summer.

Gnonto could not get his move however and was forced to stay, eventually being reintegrated into the side by manager Daniel Farke.

It appears that Gnonto has now decided to part ways with Vigorelli, with the Italian agent admitting he regrets the winger leaving his stable of players.

Vigorelli explained that there was a different point of view between the two parties and he wishes Gnonto all the best, taking pride in what the player achieved while under his wing.

“We regret Gnonto’s departure”, Vigorelli told Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

“There were different points of view.

“But regardless, we wish him the best.

“The path we have taken him on fills us with pride.”

It remains to be seen which agency will represent Gnonto going forward, but the Italian will be looking to make sure he is playing Premier League football with Leeds next season.

He was of strong interest to Everton last summer and if Leeds fail to win promotion they could be tested with offers for him once again.
