Rangers want talent Robbie Fraser to sign a two-year contract and fight for a spot in the first team next season, according to the Rangers Review.

The left-back broke into Philippe Clement’s plans towards the end of the season and even played in games against Dundee and Hearts.

The Gers will have churn in the left-back role over the summer as Borna Barisic is leaving and Ridvan Yilmaz could again attract interest.

Fraser, 21, is someone that Rangers want to keep and they are talking to him about a new contract.

The deal would run for two years and in the process hand Fraser a chance to really fight for game time under Clement.

It is also a vote of confidence from the Rangers boss in the defender.

Fraser has mainly turned out for Rangers’ B team, as well as featuring in the UEFA Youth League.

He was an unused substitute in both legs of Rangers’ last 16 Europa League tie with Benfica.

The defender will likely be keen to stay on at Ibrox and push to be involved for the Gers over next season and beyond.
