Everton and West Ham United remain keen on landing Jaden Philogene from Hull City, but Ipswich Town are hopeful they will be able to sign him, according to the BBC.
Philogene shone at Hull in the Championship last term amid the Tigers’ bid to finish in the playoff spots.
He is now hot property this summer and Barcelona have held talks about potentially taking him to La Liga, with a bid being put in.
Premier League interest in the 22-year-old is substantial and Ipswich are now in advanced talks to do a deal, with Philogene keen to make the move.
Everton and West Ham are also interested in landing the winger, but it appears Ipswich are now in pole position.
He could be joined at Ipswich by Hull team-mate Jacob Greaves.
The defender is wanted at Portman Road by Kieran McKenna and it is suggested that Ipswich could pay Hull £30m for Philogene and Greaves.
Joining McKenna’s exciting Ipswich team appeals to Philogene and Town will be looking to stay the course and get a deal for him over the line in what would be a statement signing given interest in him from other sides.
