Liverpool will not receive help from Giorgi Mamardashvili to put pressure on Valencia over an exit below their asking price before the transfer window closes.

The Reds are convinced about the quality of the Valencia goalkeeper and want to sign him now and then loan him to Bournemouth for one or two seasons.

Valencia are prepared to do business, but there is a €5m gap between the two clubs.

Liverpool are offering a package which is around €35m, while Valencia supremo Peter Lim is clear that only for €40m can Mamardashvili go.

Mamardashvili’s agents have met with Valencia to urge them to take Liverpool’s offer, but there will not be extra pressure put on by the player, according to Spanish outlet GolsMedia.

While Mamardashvili wants the move to Anfield, he appreciates what Valencia have done for his career and the chances they have given him.

He will not try to force an exit from Los Che, even if the club price him out of joining Liverpool.

There will be no rebellion on the part of the goalkeeper and he will continue to play for Valencia.

Liverpool have not managed to make a single signing so far this summer and it is highly likely even if they do get Mamardashvili he will not be at Anfield for at least a year.
