Rangers are likely to face disappointment in their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri this summer, according to ManchesterWorld.

Hannibal was left out of the squad in Manchester United’s win over Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday night.

The midfielder is expected to depart Old Trafford before the transfer window closes next week with several clubs interested in signing him.

Rangers have been keeping tabs on him with a view to signing the Tunisian but he is unlikely to end up at Ibrox.

It has been claimed that a move to France or Spain seems more likely at this stage of the transfer window.

His agent has been holding talks with his suitors and a resolution is expected in the coming eleven days of the transfer window.

Rangers have been keen on him but they are not the favourite to sign Hannibal this summer.

He had a poor loan spell at Sevilla last season but remains a highly-rated talent in European football.

Gers boss Philippe Clement wants additions as he rebuilds his squad but he seems unlikely to be able to get Hannibal.
