Leeds United are now facing competition from a French side in their bid to snap up Freiburg winger Roland Sallai before the transfer window closes.

The Whites are looking to add quality attacking talent to their ranks after losing out big names this summer.

The likes of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter moved on, while the club also lost top talent Archie Gray; all three have left the Whites for Premier League clubs.

They have recently added Largie Ramazani and are expected to loan in Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon.

Freiburg’s 27-year-old versatile attacker Sallai emerged as another attacking option for Leeds and earlier today it was suggested that they are pushing hard to sign him.

According to Sky Deutschland, the Whites are now facing competition to land Sallai, as a French side are now showing interest in him.

The Hungary international is open to moving on from the Bundesliga club as he is ready for a new challenge.

He has been keen to head to Elland Road, but what his thoughts are on a move to France are unclear.

Now it remains to be seen if Leeds will be able to wrap up a deal before the interested French outfit come with an offer for Sallai.
