Arsenal are still trying to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea with the winger keen on the move, according to the Daily Mail.

Chelsea have made clear that Sterling will not be involved in the first team if he is still at the club when the window closes.

Manchester United looked at a doing a deal for Sterling, but ultimately ended their interest and Arsenal are the only game in town for the winger.

There has only been minimal progress made so far, but Arsenal are trying to see if a deal can be done.

Sterling is hugely keen to make the move to Arsenal and knows he has no future at Chelsea.

With the clock ticking down on the transfer window though it looks tough for Arsenal to be able to get the deal over the line.

If an agreement in principle can be reached between the two clubs then a deal sheet could be put in to give the Gunners extra time.

Sterling would be most likely to join the Gunners on loan given the limited time left in the window.
