Hull City are in talks to sign a free agent striker as they look to boost their attacking options.

The Tigers have endured a tough start to the campaign this term under new boss Tim Walter.

Walter’s side currently sit third from bottom in the Championship and have yet to win a game, with scoring goals an issue as they have hit the back of the net just twice.

Now Hull could have found a possible solution as, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, they are in talks with Joao Pedro.

The Brazil born striker, 32, is a free agent following his exit from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

He is available to join the Tigers and Hull are trying to reach an agreement with him on the basis of an initial one-year deal.

Pedro spent last season on loan in Brazil at Gremio.

Fenerbahce snapped Pedro up from Italian outfit Cagliari in the summer of 2022, paying €6.5m to take him to Turkey.

He was born in Brazil, but is an Italian citizen and has played for the Italy national team.
