Former Rangers star Ross McCormack has advised Gers linked Motherwell talent Lennon Miller to pick his next club very carefully.

Miller came through the youth ranks at Motherwell and he has made more than 50 senior appearances for them already despite being just 18 years old.

He is considered a top talent in Scotland and Glasgow giants Rangers have been claimed to hold an interest in the teenage midfielder.

McCormack, who started his career at the Ibrox club, insisted that going to a club where young players are not trusted with regular game time would push Miller backwards.

The former Gers star suggested the 18-year-old choose a club where young players get ample game time to fulfil their potential.

“I think it is down to what club he [Miller] goes to and what manager he works under”, McCormack said on the Scottish Football Podcast about Gers target Miller when he was asked about his chances to do well at his potential next club.

“He’s got to pick that very carefully because if he goes somewhere who are not notoriously big on throwing the young boys in and the manager picks more experienced players then, he will need to take one or two steps down to get going again.

“But if he goes somewhere, where they play good football, the manager believes in young kids and he will probably have what? 100 Motherwell appearances under his belt by then.

“However many goals, Scotland Under-21s, I think he has scored a couple of goals for them this season already.

“He is just a great talent and it is great to see in Scottish football.”

Miller has already contributed to seven goals already this season and it remains to be seen if Rangers will test the water with a bid in the winter transfer window for him.
