Borussia Dortmund have won the summer transfer race for in-demand striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Last season’s Champions League finalists agreed a fee with Saint-Etienne for Aubameyang earlier this week, leading to the player heading to Germany and passing a medical with the Ruhr giants, with terms personal quickly agreed.
And Aubameyang has put pen to paper on a deal lasting until 2018 with Jurgen Klopp’s men.
The Gabon striker, who was in inspired form for Saint-Etienne last season, was being chased by a number of clubs.

Elsewhere within Germany, Bayer Leverkusen were keen on acquiring his services, while from England there was substantial interest.
Over the last few months, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United were all linked with making a move for the 24-year-old.
But it is Dortmund who have won the day – and they are delighted.
"We are very pleased to have signed the player we wanted to in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang", said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc to his club’s official site.
"He is very adaptable up front, has tremendous pace, quick reactions and is a real goal threat."
